RJ Romain Jerome reveals the Deep Blue Octopus, a marine watch roused by the secretive cephalopod. We investigate this new unconventional creation from the Geneva-based producer.
With eight arms bearing pull cups, disguising skin, extraordinary appearance, conscious look… Octopuses have enraptured and enlivened humanity since we originally investigated the seas. RJ Romain Jerome is committing its most recent creation to this creature both interesting and rich in symbolism.
The RJ Romain Jerome Deep Blue Octopus includes a 47mm dark PVD steel recreating the respective evenness of the tentacled ocean monster and joining a few of its aesthetical highlights. The inside of the elastic lash highlights cool octopus-like attractions cups. The number 8 is utilized across numerous highlights (number of screws, water impervious to 888 feet, etc.)
Another detail enlivened by the ocean is the dial that is finished to remind an imp test (their hard shell/skeletal design). Its help has been loaded up with iridescent material. In its middle, a dark DLC-covered copper Octopus is applied.
The crown at 9 o’clock permits to change the time or wind the programmed development; the second one of 3 o’clock is utilized to turn the inside unidirectional pivoting bezel (in sapphire) to monitor passed time.
