Parmigiani Fleurier praises a long term organization with the Montreux Jazz Festival with a Tonda Metrographe limited edition – a watch that we introduced to you half a month prior . Today, directly during the Festival, we got the opportunity to go active with this intense, yet richly shaped chronograph, with a specific dial for this limited edition.
Celebrating its 51st edition this year, the incredible Montreux Jazz is without question one of the world’s most noteworthy performances. Initially an unadulterated Jazz festival, Montreux can think back on facilitating the absolute most noteworthy craftsmen of the previous 50 years. In 1967, a fire broke out during Frank Zappa’s show, motivating the popular Deep Purple riff ‘Smoke on the water’.
In 2017, George Benson, Herbie Hancock, Lauryn Hill, Pet Shop Boys, Grace Jones, Macy Gray, Erykah Badu, London Grammar, Youssou N’Dour, and Tom Jones are only a portion of the craftsmen to perform… For the most recent 10 years, Parmigiani Fleurier has been a vital patron of the Montreux Jazz Festival. This year, the Manufacture is delivering a calm, rich limited edition Tonda Metrographe to commend this milestone.
The limited edition depends on the elegant facelift of the assortment that was introduced in late 2016 ( read our survey here ). The plan is motivated by the banner of the 2017 festival. The dark dial with a differentiating white date window echoes the highly contrasting portrayal of ladies moving, made uncommonly by visual fashioner Malika Favre for the 51st edition of the Festival.
The Tonda Metrograph case is really unmistakable: exquisite, held yet with a slight turn, apparent in the uneven case plan. It highlights tear-drop hauls on the left of the case while the chronograph pushers are incorporated into the carries on the correct side. 40mm in distance across, the case feels marginally greater and it wears comfortably on the wrist because of the delicate bend of the carries. This limited edition comes in completely cleaned steel and the showcase case back is engraved with the inscription ‘Montreux Jazz festival – 51ème edition – edition limitée x/10′.
The dial format is the one that was presented in late 2016. It highlights overhauled counter extents, a twofold given little second sign and a tachometer. The dark oxidized completion is featured with unpretentious orange accents. The faceted, iridescent hour markers are combined with rich alpha sort hands. The distinction with the customary creation piece is the differentiating date sign delivered in white at 12 o’clock.
The Tonda Metrographe is controlled by the type PF350, a particular (Dubois-Depraz) chronograph dependent on the in-house PF331 type. This twin-barrel programmed development runs at 28’800 vibrations each hour and has a 42-hour power save. As consistently with Parmigiani Fleurier, the lovely completion is obvious with one look at the sapphire case back. The scaffolds are pleasantly chamfered and highlight Geneva stripes emanating from the equilibrium wheel. The open-worked rotor is engraved with the brand’s logo.
The Tonda Metrographe Montreux Jazz Festival 2017 is worn on a wonderful delicate calfskin tie got by a collapsing buckle. For more data, kindly visit www.parmigianifleurier.com and www.montreuxjazzfestival.com .
